Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name via OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, or Discord) or magic link email. Authentication is managed securely through NextAuth.js and is necessary to provide you with personalized learning experiences.

Learning Data

We track your course progress, completed challenges, and learning achievements to help you monitor your growth and provide personalized recommendations.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized page view data to understand how our platform is used and improve the user experience. This data is privacy-friendly and doesn’t track individual users across sessions.

Purchase & Transaction Data

When you purchase UI components, templates, courses, or subscriptions, we collect transaction details such as the items purchased, date of purchase, and payment method type. Full payment card details are handled securely by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.

Chat Messages

Messages you send through our chat feature are stored securely to enable communication between users and maintain conversation history.

Essential Cookies (Required)

Authentication cookies from NextAuth.js are necessary for logging in and maintaining your session. These cannot be disabled as they’re essential for the platform to function.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and our own privacy-friendly custom analytics to understand how the platform is used. Our custom analytics use a daily-resetting hashed visitor identifier that cannot track individual users across days or sessions. No third-party tracking cookies are set by our analytics.

Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to save your preferences locally on your device:

Web Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your push subscription details to send you notifications about new chat messages. You can disable this anytime in your Account Settings.

What We Send

Notifications only include the sender’s name and a preview of the message. We use the Web Push API with VAPID authentication - no third-party services or data sharing involved.

Providing Our Service

We use your data to operate the platform, authenticate you, track your learning progress, process purchases of UI components, templates, and courses, and enable features like chat and notifications.

Improving the Platform

Anonymous analytics help us understand which features are most valuable and where we can improve the learning experience.

Communication

We may send important service updates via email. We don’t send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt-in.

Encryption

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled through OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, Discord) and magic link emails via NextAuth.js — we do not store passwords directly.

Database Security

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database (Neon) with encryption at rest and in transit.

Access Control

Only authorized administrators can access user data, and only when necessary for support or debugging purposes.

You can view and download your personal data from your Account Settings.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time. This will permanently remove all your personal data, including learning progress and chat history.

Control Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner or by clearing your browser cookies.

Opt-out of Analytics

You can block analytics cookies through your cookie preferences or browser settings.

Age Requirement

Roux UI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at developertrey@gmail.com.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Anonymized Data

Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely to help us improve the platform.

Our Commitment

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users via email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. We will also take immediate steps to mitigate the breach and prevent further unauthorized access.

Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be resolved in the courts of Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.
